We will email the full report as a PDF. It includes the pressure and deflection data at every stage, the pass or fail result in both directions, and the testing laboratory's credentials.
The label you should be able to see
Nebraska adopted the IRC, which requires every garage door to carry a permanent manufacturer label. Ours shows the manufacturer, model, positive and negative design wind pressure in psf, the installation drawing reference, and the applicable test standard.
Inspectors look for that label. Most imported doors do not have one, which is the single biggest reason nobody else has done what we are doing.
Is R-13 the right choice?
Attached garage, unheated: yes. R-13 is well above builder grade and holds the temperature difference that matters.
Heated garage or a room above: take the R-18 upgrade. Omaha's winter design temperature is negative 5 degrees and the payback is quick.
Detached and unheated: honestly, R-13 is more than you need. We will still sell it to you, but a non-insulated door would do.
What we will not sell you
An imported opener. Openers must be listed to UL 325 for entrapment protection, so we buy LiftMaster domestically and install it for $545. That is a child safety standard and not a place to find margin.
